(WESTPORT, CT-June 16, 1998) -- Mecklermedia, "The Internet Media Company," (Nasdaq: MECK) today announced a strategic partnership with Reed Exhibition Companies to produce the Internet World Asia @ Hong Kong '99 and Internet World Asia @ Singapore '99 trade shows. Internet World Asia @ Singapore '99 will take place March 3-5, 1999 at the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre and Internet World Asia @ Hong Kong '99 is scheduled for November 3-5, 1999 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Mecklermedia will have a 51% majority ownership interest in both events, bringing the number of Mecklermedia's majority and wholly-owned international shows to 13. Reed will be the strategic partner and organizer for these leading Internet industry trade shows previously held in Hong Kong and Singapore in January 1997 and July 1997, respectively.
