[NEW YORK, FALL INTERNET WORLD, October 8, 1998] Mecklermedia's (Nasdaq: MECK) Internet.com network of Web sites today announced an alliance with Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV), the leader in electronic software delivery (ESD). Internet.com, a leading provider of real-time news and information resources for Internet professionals and Web developers, will now offer Web site visitors the opportunity to purchase software from its new online store, located at http://software.internet.com. Products sold through the new store will include Digital River's entire inventory of software products, which is made up of more than 120,000 titles from over 1,600 publishers and online dealers.

The alliance with Mecklermedia provides Digital River with another high-profile channel through which its software partners can sell their products to Web professionals. Internet.com sites currently serve approximately 20 million pages to 1 million unique visitors monthly, attracting some of the most qualified Web developers and Internet professionals who use its resources on a daily basis.
