INTERNET.COM, THE E-BUSINESS AND INTERNET TECHNOLOGY NETWORK, ACQUIRES BOTSPOT.COM

(WESTPORT, CT - January 26, 1999) - internet.com LLC today announced that it acquired BotSpot.com. The site is now part of the expanding internet.com Network of Web sites. Terms were not disclosed.

BotSpot.com is an award-winning resource and metasite for "bots," intelligent agents, knowledge discovery, and artificial intelligence applications on the Internet -these are the newest technology tools that automate the process of retrieving and organizing information, making online searches easier and more precise. The site features the first and only directory of bots classified into 14 categories including widely used Shopping Bots, News Bots, and Stock Bots. BotSpot.com won the coveted "Best 100 Web sites on the Internet" awarded by PC Magazine (June 1998) and has received over 300 awards and hundreds of worldwide reviews.
