Job Title:		Advertising Sales Director

		mediabistro.com is seeking an experienced Ad Sales Director, who is passionate about advertising sales, and wants to take a lead role in helping to further develop this online community of media professionals. This position is open in our Midtown Manhattan office, and is a significant career building opportunity.
Responsibilities:		Managing a small team of sales and administrative professionals Identifying potential accounts and originating sales leads via phone and email Building an account base by selling online advertising to both clients and agencies Forecasting the sales process by using a repeatable methodology Developing advertising sales strategies and sales process improvements Contributing ideas for product enhancement and new product development Working independently to develop a prospecting strategy
Qualifications::		College degree 6+ years online ad sales experience 3+ years sales management experience Thorough knowledge of online advertising metrics and nomenclature Agency contacts a must Proven ability to generate new business and expand existing business Proven ability to exceed sales quotas Using and maintaining a CRM database (Salesforce.com experience a plus) Sales reporting and analytics Experience developing compelling sales presentations Experience developing effective face-to-face client presentations Ability to close deals Ability to work shows and exhibits after normal working hours
