INTERNET.COM LAUNCHES DOMAINNOTES.COM, A CENTRAL RESOURCE FOR THE INTERNET DOMAIN NAME INDUSTRY

(New York, NY-March 1, 2000)--internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the Internet Industry's Portal, today launched DomainNotes.com, serving the Internet's growing domain name industry. The site was previously part of the critically-acclaimed Web Developer's Virtual Library (http://www.wdvl.com). Verio Inc. (Nasdaq:VRIO), the world's largest operator of Web sites for businesses and a leading provider of comprehensive Internet services, is the exclusive sponsor of the new site.

Created to be the largest resource of its kind, DomainNotes.com features original articles from experts in the domain industry, daily domain news coverage and resources including domain utilities, articles/specifications, retailers and software. Internet professionals and users can search for available, original domain names that best suit their business needs and participate in community discussion forums. A free weekly e-mail newsletter is also available.

"While there are sites that focus on the business of domains, DomainNotes.com immediately provides wider industry coverage than any other resource currently in this category," said internet.com chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler. "This site, or portal, is now the central gathering place for the domain community, giving our advertisers and e-commerce partners an unprecedented opportunity to reach a diverse group of professionals, including those involved in e-commerce, Web hosting, ISPs, speculators and other hobbyists."

"DomainNotes.com is an essential resource to anyone seriously interested in domains, be they merely looking for the latest information on legal battles involving domains, looking for a registrar, or just learning how to buy a domain. Visitors will have unlimited domain resources at their fingertips," said Scott Clark, managing editor of DomainNotes.com.

Currently, there are 13,374,830 com/net/org domains registered. There are more than 100 companies that are accredited registrars, and more are in progress.
