INTERNET.COM EXPANDS GLOBAL REACH WITH FOREIGN LANGUAGE WEB SITES IN BELGIUM, SPAIN, LATIN AMERICA, THE NETHERLANDS AND TAIWAN
(NEW YORK, NY--April 27, 2000) -- As part of its ongoing international expansion, internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the Internet Industry Portal, today unveiled four new international business-to-business portals for the Internet industry-- espanol.internet.com (http://espanol.internet.com or http://es.internet.com) serving Spain and Latin America, belgium.internet.com (http://belgium.internet.com or http://www.be.internet.com), netherlands.internet.com (http://netherlands.internet.com or http://nl.internet.com) and taiwan.internet.com (http://taiwan.internet.com). All four sites will be incorporated into internet.com's growing portfolio of global properties, now consisting of 16 international editions.
espanol.internet.com, belgium.internet.com and netherlands.internet.com are part of the joint venture between internet.com Corporation and VNU Business Publishing Europe, and are offered in the Spanish, Dutch and French, and Dutch languages, respectively. taiwan.internet.com is a joint venture between internet.com Corporation and InteLink Taiwan Corporation and is offered in the Chinese language.
Similar to other global internet.com properties, each international property delivers Internet industry content and coverage in the primary local language by "on the ground" local journalists in their respective regions, as well as relevant content from the North American edition. Each property follows internet.com's vertical channel approach, with content-specific channels covering the entire Internet industry via News, Finance, Web Development, E-commerce, Product Releases and Internet Service categories, and includes specialized directories with links to local resources for Web developers, IT professionals and other Internet professionals.
