INTERNET.COM LAUNCHES SIXTH REGIONAL SITE, LA.INTERNET.COM, TO SERVE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S INTERNET COMMUNITY

(NEW YORK, NY-June 22, 2000)--internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the Internet Industry Portal, today launched a new bureau to cover the thriving Internet market and community in the greater Los Angeles area. The site is available at LA.internet.com (http://la.internet.com). The site launch is sponsored by SmartAge.com (http://www.smartage.com).

"LA.internet.com marks our sixth regional site and we fully expect it to continue the tremendous success we've experienced by integrating our Internet news properties throughout selective regions of the U.S.," said internet.com chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler. "Southern California is yet another hotbed of Internet activity and now internet.com will be an integral player as the area's first in-depth, online publication exclusively focused on the local Internet industry."

The site will be under the direction of Managing Editor Arthur Gordon who brings with him more than 25 years of technical publishing experience. Just before starting up LA.internet.com, he was a Magazine Editor for the IEEE Computer Society for five years. "I am very excited to join internet.com's network of people, resources and Web sites. I look forward to helping put the Los Angeles area Internet industry's technical accomplishments on the map," says Gordon.

The availability of internet.com's regional Internet news content in Los Angeles is the latest in a series of regional expansion initiatives including recent launches in Silicon Valley (http://siliconvalley.internet.com), Boston (http://boston.internet.com), Washington D.C. (http://dc.internet.com), Seattle (http://seattle.internet.com) and internet.com's pre-existing atNewYork.com site (http://atnewyork.com) serving the Internet scene in New York's Silicon Alley. internet.com also announced plans to roll out several other bureaus in coming months.
