INTERNET.COM CONTINUES REGIONAL EXPANSION WITH LAUNCH OF MIAMI.INTERNET.COM

(New York, NY- September 19, 2000)-internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), the Internet Industry Portal, today launched a new bureau to cover the thriving Internet market and community in the greater Miami area that will also serve as a gateway to Latin America. The site is available at miami.internet.com (http://miami.internet.com) and joins seven other regional sites launched by internet.com.

"We've experienced tremendous success integrating our Internet news properties throughout selective regions of the U.S. and we are now delighted to extend our news and information resources to southern Florida's ever growing Internet scene and will extend internet.com's reach to the Latin American market. This will be the area's first in-depth, online publication exclusively focused on the South Florida Internet industry," said internet.com Chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler.

The site will be under the direction of Managing Editor William Plasencia, former founder and Director of Consejero.com, a Spanish language personal finance Web site. Plasencia brings to internet.com over a decade of experience in journalism and has written for such publications as The American Banker and Latin Finance Magazine. "Metropolitan Miami has become an important crossroads for the Internet industry and really serves as a bridge to all of the Americas. I look forward to chronicling for internet.com the excitement and growth that the Internet industry has brought to this dynamic community," said Plasencia. The availability of internet.com's regional news content in the Miami area is the latest in a series of regional expansion initiatives including recent launches in Los Angeles (http://la.internet.com), Silicon Valley (http://siliconvalley.internet.com), Boston (http://boston.internet.com), Washington D.C. (http://dc.internet.com), Seattle (http://seattle.internet.com), Chicago (http://chicago.internet.com) and internet.com's pre-existing atNewYork.com site (http://atnewyork.internet.com) serving the Internet scene in New York's Silicon Alley. internet.com also announced plans to roll out several other bureaus in coming months.
