INTERNET.COM AND DICE.COM CREATE E-COMMERCE ALLIANCE FOR IT CAREERS

(New York, NY- January 31, 2001)-- internet.com (http://www.internet.com, Nasdaq: INTM), The Internet Industry Portal, today announced an exclusive alliance with Dice.com (http://www.dice.com), part of EarthWeb Inc. (Nasdaq: EWBX), and the related launch of a new vertical content channel - the Career Channel (to be launched in February 2001). The cash compensation to be paid by dice.com to internet.com over the 18-month term of this alliance was not disclosed. This agreement follows internet.com's purchase of 14 Web sites and 18 e-mail newsletters from EarthWeb Inc. in December, 2000.
