JUPITER RESEARCH RELEASES REPORTS ON WEB SITE SEARCH AND ENTERPRISE PORTALS

(New York, NY - February 14, 2003) - Jupiter Research, a division of Jupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM), today announced the release of two new research reports, one focusing on Web site search and one analyzing Enterprise Portals, both of which reveal the results from the first two vendor rankings based on the Jupiter Constellation - a proprietary vendor evaluation tool aimed at business executives who need to make technology decisions.

Jupiter Research's new report "Web Site Search: Understanding and Influencing Consumer Behavior" offers startling insights to any company operating a large-scale Web site. The report finds that consumers rely on Web site search to a very high degree, and that their dissatisfaction with the experiences they have while searching is on the rise. Poor site search represents a lost opportunity to learn from and influence customers. This report includes evaluations of major search vendors including Google Search Appliance, Atomz, Fast Search and Transfer, Mondosoft, Verity Ultraseek, JeevesOne, InQuira, Autonomy, Convera and Verity K2.

Jupiter Research's other new report "Enterprise Portals: Selecting a Vendor," includes the second vendor ranking based on Jupiter Constellation. Jupiter Research evaluated major vendors in the enterprise portal space including Plumtree, IBM, Oracle, Corechange, Sun, BEA, BroadVision, ATG and Sybase in order to identify the leading portal vendors and help IT professionals in their vendor selection process. The report also identifies strategies that companies should follow in evaluating enterprise portals and what the most common initiatives planned by portal managers are this year.

The complete findings of these reports are immediately available to Jupiter Research clients online. For more information please contact Kieran Kelly at [email protected] or call 1-800-481-1212.
