JUPITERESEARCH TO LAUNCH NEW HOME THEATER RESEARCH SERVICE

(New York, NY - May 4, 2004) -- -- JupiterResearch, a division of Jupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM), today announced that it will launch a new research service in August covering home theater and digital home entertainment, marking the eighth new practice started by JupiterResearch since it was acquired in July 2002. The Home Theater research service will help vendors prepare for market opportunities created by the explosion of new home entertainment technologies. It will deliver insights on consumer needs and expectations, enable better decisions about such topics as convergence and optimal form factors and help vendors develop strategies to maintain margins in the face of rapid commoditization. The new research initiative will be led by JupiterResearch Vice President and Research Director Michael Gartenberg and JupiterResearch Senior Analyst Avi Greengart.

JupiterResearch will also immediately launch the new Home Theater Watch Weblog at www.HomeTheaterWatch.com, a companion to the research service offering daily home theater and digital home entertainment news and analysis from JupiterResearch's seasoned team.

"We believe that JupiterResearch is the only research organization that is growing its service offerings, with the home theater research service being our eighth new service introduction since we acquired JupiterResearch. Combining our daily coverage of home theater and digital home entertainment on our Weblog demonstrates how Jupitermedia will be a leading provider of information about the expanding array of home entertainment technology," stated Alan M. Meckler, Chairman and CEO of Jupitermedia.

"Digital surround sound systems are now in over 20% of online households, computer companies now sell televisions and nearly all entertainment content is digital," stated JupiterResearch Senior Analyst Avi Greengart. "Home entertainment technology is a growth area and this service will help both vendors and end-users to better understand the opportunities and separate assumptions from reality," said Greengart.

The JupiterResearch Home Theater research service will use consumer and executive IT surveys, online analysis, case studies and usage models. Clients of the service will better understand real consumer needs, price points, the value chain, distribution models and market entry strategies.
