JUPITERRESEARCH FINDS MASS ADOPTION OF BROADBAND PROVIDES NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR PORTALS AND CONTENT WEB SITES

(New York, NY - August 23, 2005) - JupiterResearch, a division of Jupitermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: JUPM), today announced that, with over 43% of online households connecting to the Internet via broadband, critical mass of broadband has arrived, presenting an opportunity for portals and content Web sites to shift market share. Based on surveys and traffic analysis, the newly released JupiterResearch report entitled "Portals: Broadband Programming to Gain Market Share" finds that entertainment programming dominates broadband use, along with customization and advanced communications such as blogs and personal pages. With JupiterResearch forecasting broadband adoption to reach nearly 80% of online U.S. households (69 million households) by 2010, portals and content sites can take advantage of these increases to gain market share by experimenting with Flash-based home pages and customizable RSS feeds.
