(WESTPORT, CT - August 5, 1999) - (Nasdaq: INTM), the E-business and Internet Technology Network, today announced the winners of July's Stock Challenge.

Nearly 700 players participated in the virtual Internet stock competition. Curt Fletcher from Las Vegas, Nevada earned first place with a monthly return of 37.62%, and runner-up Thomas Zimmerman from Lehighton, Pennsylvania achieved a total return of 36.84%. Fletcher managed to achieve a significant gain while the S&P; 500 experienced a decline of 3.21% during the same period.

The monthly Stock Challenge allows investors to create and monitor simulated portfolios of leading Internet stocks such as Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO), DoubleClick (Nasdaq: DCLK), Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) and America Online (NYSE: AOL). Participants create a virtual portfolio based on any stock listed in's InternetStockList ( which participants can buy, sell or short. The participant with the highest total percentage increase in portfolio value for the month wins the $1,500 grand prize. The runner-up receives $500. While the August Stock Challenge is currently in progress, participants can register for the September competition. Registration will end 11:59 pm eastern time, August 31, 1999. Trading begins on Wednesday, September 1, 1999. Players can trade at any time during the competition period, from September 1 through market close on September 30.

The Stock Challenge is part of's Internet Stocks Channel (, the leading online source of information about Internet stocks and finance. The channel is one of nine that comprise the Network of 64 Web sites and related Internet media properties that generates over 48 million Web site page views monthly.
