INTERNET.COM EXPANDS GLOBAL PRESENCE WITH LAUNCH OF JAPAN.INTERNET.COM AND FUTURE LAUNCH OF GERMANY.INTERNET.COM

(WESTPORT, CT - September 23, 1999) - internet.com (Nasdaq: INTM), The E-Business and Internet Technology Network, today launched japan.internet.com (http://www.japan.internet.com) and also announced plans to launch germany.internet.com in November.

japan.internet.com is a joint venture between internet.com Corporation and Japan-based Communication Online, Inc., provider of the Cool Online community Web site (http://www.cool.ne.jp). Communication Online's Cool Online is one of the 20 most visited sites in Japan and currently attracts 40,000 members and 1.3 million page views per day.

germany.internet.com is a joint venture between internet.com and Interstoxx.de (http://www.interstoxx.de), Germany's leading online financial resource that specifically focuses on the Neue Markt (the German high-tech stock exchange). The Interstoxx network currently records over 5.0 million page views per month.

Both sites which are majority-owned by internet.com, will feature original local content as well as content from the North American edition of the internet.com Network. The sites will be in the Japanese and German languages, respectively.
